FEMALE RAPPER: Candis (@SheIsHipHop) - No Church In The Wild Freestyle
Candis "SheIsHipHop" White
"It don’t take a prophet to see the young girl is gifted/either hate it or get wit it/ I am what every brilliant mind envisions..."
Brooklyn, New York, home of some of entertainments most gifted and vibrant superstars also gave birth to this 20th Century's rap phenomenon. She is intelligent. She is fascinating...She IS Hip Hop.
Known to the industry as Candis, this burgeoning female artist has the lyrical poise to fall in line with some of the greatest of MCs, both male and female. With more than a decade of caressing line paper with an ink pen, Candis is solidifying her spot as one of the best to emerge out of the Big Apple. Compelled by the likes of Notorious B.I.G, Jay-Z, Nas, Foxy Brown, Lil Kim, Missy Elliott and Tupac, it is her very own life experiences growing up in Brooklyn's Farragut & Fort Greene Projects that allows Candis to demolish any microphone she encounters speaking truth whenever she breathes air into the mic.
It was in 2003 when Candis composed a tear-jerking number in reference to her years growing up and the loss of her grandmother, titled "It's OK" that she started to see hard work and dedication paying off. This work of art earned her a $10,000 college scholarship in the annual BMG World of Expressions songwriting contest. Candis has a message in her music that separates her from her peers --- a “heart-felt” message that captures the essence of hip-hop. Candis is a constant reminder of what the entertainment world is missing. But being such a powerful force in the tri-state, it will be a matter of no time before she is recognized by the masses for her lyrical flow.
In August of 2010, Candis linked up with an elite group of New Jersey artists to form F02 Music Group. It was then that her coequals named her "SheIsHipHop". After seeing her work in the booth, the moniker became a no brainer! In 2011, Candis and Arron "1st Wonder" Rodriguez decided to legalize F02 Music Group and formed an LLC, establishing Candis not only as an artist, but as a business owner, taking full control of her career by investing in her own record label.
Since the 2011 release of her self-titled mixtape "@SheIsHipHop", Candis has been performing at some of the hottest spots in the tri-state and also appearing on internet radio shows throughout the country. While most suffer the loss of their mixtape buzz after a while, Candis continues to reign. She has worked with an assorted array of noteworthy artists, as well as appeared on MTV's RapFix Live "Get In The Game" segment. Her recent nomination for an Underground Music Award (UMA) for MOST ORIGINAL FEMALE ARTIST proves that this young lady is already making her mark in the game. Candis is currently working on her E.P. titled "Soundtrack of My Life" and recently launched her website SheIsHipHop.com.

PARTY ANTHEM: She's Gonna Be Mine - Tony Ross (@tonyrossbeat)
Born in Edo State, Tony Ross a.k.a Skinny Rapper is a rapper and an excellent producer. His love for music started at a ridiculously young age when he was hustling daily to make ends meet in music pursuit. Things weren’t too easy as he didn’t have access to a professional recording studio and he resorted to the few good ones available; but his drive for music kept him going through the odds.
Music for Tony Ross started in the year 2002 where Tony Ross was handling rap battles and some various hoods with some rap cats Mc Lee and Davi scan back then. He later merged with Davi scan and that relationship gave birth to a duo called “TD Blaze” they both worked on some songs and backed it up by shooting two (2) videos. “rap game” and “Ridiculous” which receive a good applause and airplay from local radios and tv stations in Benin city and its environs back then. Inadequate promotion and management made the rapper/producer to abandon the projects and work on some other projects while perfecting his skills as a producer also. He made the decision to be a producer because he wasn’t too satisfied with the production quality he was hearing back then.
His fans are glad he made that move in production. Tony ross has since laced the airwaves with sounds and melody notes that his fans described as “outa dis world” he gave hooked up with his first love “Rapping” and has since released unofficially a mixtape titled “H.O.D” an acronym for “Hustle or die” which enjoys major news on blog sites across the net. He again officially released yet another mixtape called “Sept. 11”in 2011 and also enjoys major reviews nationwide. His production and rap skills wouldn’t go unnoticed as he got two (2) nominations at the SSMA “south-south music award for best producer/best hip-hop video, which made him one of the names to reckon with in whole of south-south, Nigeria.
Tony ross is recently working on a project with an undisclosed title and set to release a new mixtape “INSOMNIA”. He has since shot three videos to his credits: my loving, club on fire and now she’s gonna be mine. His production credits stretches from Cynthia Morgan, MC LEE, Yung6ix, cyrus tha virus, big splash, pc dre, fragrance etc. tony ross is single and his also not sign to any record label yet. He is hard working and very consistent.
