“Love of Mine” by American-Israel born singer Annabelle Peppers is a cheesy and romantic piece of craft that at first begins flirtatiously as if two lovers are trying to express their love for each other and head on for a new rollercoaster love affair. But as the music progresses, it is revealed that the main characters over here share a husband-wife relationship. The theme chosen over here is simple and yet something that can be called classic. Not just the theme, the selection of the lyrics as well as the overall music construction has been kept very simple. Even the video itself is very simple. Unlike other music videos that we often come across, here there is not human representation. Only the clever use of colorful paper chits and paper-cut hearts and markers – things that though most of the times overlooked are the little symbolistic ways of expressing one’s love for another. I am sure you yourself must have used one to share how you feel or must have received one from someone. Whatever may that be, the overall simplistic approach taken in the video production is well thought of and it pairs perfectly with the music – perfect couple made. I would have loved had this music been released on the 14th of February. Would have been an ideal one. Nevertheless, the release of the music during this time of the month is a good decision.
