Dame Dilla Biography Dame Dilla started rapping when he was 11- years old. He and His older brother would listen to Rap and Dame would mimic what he heard. He became good at mimicking these artists and began to write his own music. Dilla grew up in the Cabrini Green Housing Projects, one of the most infamous housing projects in the city of Chicago, along with his Mother and Six Siblings. In 1993, Dame Dilla and his family relocated to the Uptown Neighborhood on Chicago’s North side. The Uptown neighborhood was no different. Like many other young black males in the community, Dame Dilla was enticed by the lures of the streets. Still an avid lyricist, his experiences in the streets influenced his music. In 2012 Dame Dilla began to release his music on digital platforms and social media sites. Im 2016 Dame drops hit single “Freddy Krueger” which earned him a World Premier On Power 92.3; 5th place in Coast2Coast Live, Featured Artist on Mr. E Videos and ThisIs50.com. In 2017 Dame returned to coast 2 coast live and won 1st place after dropping his follow up “Momma House”. His efforts land him 2 single distribution deals with Zaytoven Beats/Digital Dope, 1st Place For Coast2Coast Live Video Showcase For Momma House Video and a 4 State Tour as Featured Artist With Coast2Coast Live. In 2018 Dame Dilla was booked for Season 5 Empire by 4 Star Casting/20th Century Fox to a major speaking role with Terrence Howard. Dame Dilla was also featured on Beats (Netflix Mini Series), and The Chi Season 2. In 2018 Dame Dilla Drops Solo Ep’s “No Features” and “The Money Way Is The Only Way” on all major platforms and videos for almost every track on the project landing him live performances/Opening Acts for Cardi B, Black Youngsta, G Herbo, Lil Durk, Camron, Lil Bibby, Pnb Rock, A Boogie W Da Hoodie, Project Pat, 3-6 Mafia, Kirko Bangz, Juvenile, Bump J, Snow Da Product, Dipset, Styles P, Mozzy, Twista, Crucial Conflict, Do or Die, El HITTA, OJ Da Juice Man, Kodak Black, 147 Cal Boy and many more.
