Hello, my name is Carl J. Ake Jr. AKA "DJ CJ”. I was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on November 29th in the year of 1984. My dad is a retired United States Marine. With that being said, I had been to 9 schools before the 6th grade all over the south of the United States. At a young age I started writing and rapping to songs of various instrumentals. I started out in “Gospel Rap”, then to clean music and I am back to “Gospel Rap”. When technology came around I figured out, by myself, how to engineer my own vocals to such instrumentals. I’ve always continued making music cause I always truly enjoyed it and loved what others thought of me doing it. I graduated from Powell High School at the age of 18. From the ages of 19 to 24 I had become severely backslid and hooked to drugs. I started out with many different drugs, leading to amphetamines moving on to a near death addiction to opioids! On July 29th, 2009 I was in a life changing vehicle accident. I was blessed to be put on earth with such a family that has always been believers of Jesus Christ. I have been fixing my earthly body ever since then from the accident. I have been in a struggle with the temptations of evil most of my life but even more so since my wreck almost 11 years ago even though I had gotten off all the hard drugs. Though I was saved through Jesus Christ and baptized at a young age(15)I let the devil control me and consistently work at me to pull me from grace. I’m so glad that God had listened to my cry and prayers to him over the years to allow me to continue to live on planet earth. It seems like it’s been a long road in a short amount of time. Now I have a much more clearer understanding to why I was put here to start with and that’s to get as many souls as I can to Heaven! To do this, you have to believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and resurrected on the third day defeating the grave!

So I will continue to put out music to glorify God through Christ! It’s took me to 35 years of age to understand something I was told from the start and that is do all things for the Glory of God!
I could go on and on but this pretty much sums up what my goal in this life is moving forward! I would like to thank God my creator, creator of all things!
I also would like to thank my Mom and Dad for being loving and forgiving as Christ is!
